Under the EB-5 Reform and Integrity Act of 2022 (signed 15 March 2022), the minimum investment is $1,050,000 standard or $800,000 in a Targeted Employment Area (rural, ≥150% national avg unemployment, or infrastructure project). Next CPI-U adjustment effective 1 January 2027. RIA reserves 20% of EB-5 visas for rural-area, 10% for high-unemployment, 2% for infrastructure projects. Capital must be lawfully sourced and at risk, invested in a new commercial enterprise; must create or preserve ≥ 10 full-time (≥ 35 hr/wk) US jobs within ~2 years. Initial 2-year conditional green card (CR-6/CR-7); I-829 removes conditions on sustained investment + job creation.
