EU ICT Permit (Intra-Corporate Transferee)

The ICT Permit (Directive 2014/66/EU) lets a non-EU manager, specialist, or trainee employee of a multinational group transfer to the EU subsidiary/branch. Art. 5(1)(b) requires uninterrupted prior employment in the same undertaking or group for 3–12 months (managers/specialists) or 3–6 months (trainees) immediately before the transfer. Remuneration during the transfer must be not less favourable than for comparable host-country nationals (Art. 5(4)(b)). Maximum stay is 3 years for managers/specialists, 1 year for trainees (Art. 12(1)). Decision deadline 90 days (Art. 15(1)).
